Todd was a member of Barclay's Global Investor's management team that launched the iShares family of exchange traded funds in 2000. He held several positions at BGI including Eastern Sales Manager and Sr. National Accounts Manager for Private Wealth with responsibility for the major banks.
Todd's most impactful position was as Sr. National Accounts Manager for the broker-dealer division. In this position, he pioneered the ETF broker dealer strategy forging home office relationships with Salomon Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, UBS, Wachovia, A.G. Edwards, Raymond James, Ameriprise and Linsco Private Ledger. By the time Todd left BGI, the broker dealer channel had raised over $75 billion and was a deeply entrenched partner with all the major firms. Within six years, BGI was challenging American Funds and Vanguard for supremacy in the race to raise assets.
Todd left BGI to join WisdomTree Asset Management where legendary hedge fund manager Michael Steinhardt served as Chairman and Professor Jeremy Siegel from the Wharton School and Arthur Levitt, former Chairman of the SEC served as Sr. Advisors.
As National Sales Manager for the broker dealer channel, Todd was responsible for national accounts, the broker dealer sales team and the internal sales desk. His team successfully launched the largest family of fundamentally-weighted exchange traded funds in the U.S., raising $4.5 billion within two years. Todd was promoted to National Sales Manager of the Intermediary Sales channel, adding the Registered Investment Advisor channel to his responsibilities.
At WisdomTree, he developed and implemented sales strategy, created a sales performance and compensation plan, established an integrated sales information system, coordinated sales and marketing campaigns, launch events, conferences and special events.
Todd has served as a Regional VP for Van Kampen Merritt and GT Global, as Mutual Fund Marketing Manager for Wheat First Butcher & Singer and Regional Sales Manager for Nuveen.
He has held Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses and completed the CIMA Program at Wharton, as well as, the Investment Banking Institute's Financial Modeling and Valuation course.
Prior to entering financial services, Todd worked at the world headquarters for Caterpillar Tractor Co., where he completed the company's Sales & Marketing management program. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Illinois State University
